Why Homestead Families Choose Castle Hills Pediatric Dentistry

The best dental care for kids starts long before a cavity appears. Dr. Abraham is a board certified pediatric dentist who watches how each child’s teeth and jaws develop. She can spot crowding, bite problems or early decay at the stage when they are easiest to fix. Homestead parents get practical guidance at every visit, from brushing tips for toddlers to advice on pacifiers, thumb sucking and sports safety. When your child does need treatment, we keep it gentle and explain every step in words kids understand. We accept most major PPO plans and offer in house membership plans for families without dental insurance.

“ The staff was so patient and understanding with my autistic son. It’s sometimes hard to find doctors/staff who treat children with autism with respect but everyone was so kind and worked with us throughout a difficult visit for x rays. Dr Abraham also asked lots of questions and seemed to really care about her patients. I would recommend them to anyone with small children! :) ”

Brittany B.

“ What a great place! From the moment my child walked in, we were promptly greeted with smiles and made to feel welcome. The first dentist visit (especially for a 15-month old) can be a scary place, but Dr. Abraham and her team made us feel instantly comfortable and taken care of. My little even held the assistant's hand! Great care from a caring team and all smiles from the smallest of patients is a win, win, win!! Thanks, Castle Hills! ”

“ My 4 year old had her first appointment and I was so pleased. From the time we walked in the door there was a gentle and happy atmosphere. The office is colorful and calming. The person giving her x-rays was patient and explained everything to my curious little person. Then cleaning her teeth was a breeze and fun. The doctor was very knowledgeable and friendly and I appreciated her expertise. Overall wonderful experience and I am very pleased. Can't wait to return for checkups! ”

“ Beyond amazing! My husband and I we’re kind of worried how our daughter would react with her first ever dental appt here in the US that he has to take a day off from work to be there for it. Days prior to her appt she kept telling us she is scared. But on the day of the appt, SHE DID GREAT!! Nothing we expected at all, not even what we hoped for her reaction, to say the least. She sat still most of the time and listened to the instructions the dentist told her. She kept telling us she enjoyed the whole process afterwards. ”

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is your office from The Homestead neighborhood?

Our office is at 4541 N Josey Lane, Suite 210, Carrollton, TX 75010, a short drive from The Homestead. Families can easily fit appointments around the school day, including students at Homestead Elementary, Arbor Creek Middle School and Hebron High School.

Do dental sealants really prevent cavities?

Yes. Sealants are thin, protective coatings painted onto the chewing surfaces of back teeth, where most cavities in children start. They seal out food and bacteria and can last for years. Dr. Abraham usually recommends sealants once the first permanent molars come in around age 6, and again around age 12.

Is fluoride safe for my child?

Yes. Fluoride used in the right amount strengthens enamel and helps prevent cavities. Professional fluoride varnish applied at checkups is quick and safe, even for toddlers. At home, use a smear of fluoride toothpaste the size of a grain of rice for children under 3 and a pea sized amount for ages 3 to 6.

When should my child stop using a pacifier or sucking their thumb?

Most children stop on their own between ages 2 and 4. If the habit continues once permanent teeth start coming in, it can push front teeth forward and affect the bite. Dr. Abraham can check for early changes and share gentle, practical tips to help your child break the habit.

What is a space maintainer, and does my child need one?

A space maintainer is a small appliance that holds open the gap left when a baby tooth is lost early from decay or injury. Without it, nearby teeth can drift into the space and block the adult tooth from coming in. Dr. Abraham will let you know if your child needs one after an early tooth loss.
